I painted my Blythe's lips with acrylic paint, let them dry for a few days and then used an undiluted varnish and it ruined the paint job. The varnish started melting the paint so just be careful..

Cynthia, In reply to your two questions:

1. soak her eyelids in water to remove stock lashes. the glue is water soluble. use a needle or toothpick to remove any glue residue from the slot in the lids.
Use a very small amount of white glue to install new lashes. Use a toothpick and try not to get it on the visible part of the lashes.

2. Take her head apart, remove the eyelids from her head. Remove existing paint with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. If alcohol does not remove the paint you will have to sand it off with a sanding sponge (follow the matting instructions). The eyelids need to be matted anyway to paint them. The best way to paint eyelids is to airbrush acrylic paint. paintbrush strokes always show on eyelids and thick paint almost always scratches over time and gunks up the mechanism. If you had no way to get them airbrushed I would recommend a very thinned acrylic paint with a matte or satin acrylic sealer. you can also buy Tamiya hobby paint in spray bottles.

2. My blythe arrived with already customized eyelids but I dont like the color and I want to change it. How can I remove the old paint of the eyelids and if I should use acrylic to paint them? Thanks!!!!
