I have a question concerning the ADG. I just bought my first blythe so I went for an ADG because it was cheaper (I figured there was no need to pay twice the amount until I was sure I was totally into them). I know they are different then the Takara dolls, but I was wondering if the whole sanding, make up tutorials and so on apply for them too. Or are they too different? I also wonder about their hair. I saw you answered someone here about the rerooting process and you said that it was basically the same, but you mentioned screws that need opening up. Do the takara dolls have screws, too? Is their hair the type that can be boiled?

Also, I know some people consider them “fake”, but are they really that inferior compared to the Takara dolls?

I just purchased my first blythe on eBay: Mademoiselle Rosebud. After wrestling off her hair in an attempt to open her head, I discovered that she had the smooth, egg-head-scalp that needs to be sawed open!!! How is THAT good for a beginner? What are the names of the other "egg-head" dolls, so that I may avoid them in the future?
