Several months before the "Princess a la mode" show, last year's Beauty Contest finalists were given the Princess a la Mode story and asked to create a custom of their interpretation.

Of course, now we all know that the actual anniversary girl is a very traditional European princess, but that was kept secret from the exhibitors.

Our Princess not only lives in a haunted forest, but her toys come alive to protect her when she goes out and rescues the cursed little songbirds, Emma and Melanie.

Dress and plush Rabbit by Christina, Rubber Rabbit face, makeup, eyechips, and pullring by paul, Mohair by me.

she is really quite spectacular ... elements of her remind me of the new anniversary girl! the birdcage skirt and, of course, the haircolour.

oh, and the birdcage skirt and green hair were the only design cues in the story, so that is why they are prominent in our design.
