I am very new to blythe and would like to attempt my first reroot. I would like to have the finish hair length to be very long (down to her feet and maybe longer, if possible) Should I order the x-large format or the large formats? How many would i need?
If I don’t follow the existing holes in the scalp( the circlualr rows of the one I have is very uneven in some areas) will it be obvious and look untidy?

There’s been some talk of using ceramic straightening irons on the very lowest setting working well. I have not used this method myself, so I can’t recommend it!

i was wondering, instead of using an iron, could you cover your doll’s hair with a wet cloth and use the straighteners women use for their own hair? n_n thanks!

I’ve had some lying around at home for a while now, but I also ordered more - of course!

I should just mention we’re having a discussion over at TIB about the needed amount of skeins. Someone says you need at least 3 skeins for an SBL scalp, but probably less for an EBL. I’m doing a BL at the moment, but plan to do 2 SBLs later. The question is, is it 2 skeins or 2 packages (ie 4 skeins) you need? (Sorry for being a little thick, perhaps.)

Hi ToveB, it’s 2 Large Skeins for a scalp. I’ve done a few heads & even though I tend to root thick, it always works out for me.

Now I’m confused. It says you need only 2 skeins of the long saran, but I distinctly remember reading you needed 4. Which is it?
