The Blythe-a-lizer is an interactive tool to help customizers and non-customizers visualize color combinations for customs before diving into painting or buying hair for a Blythe (I started working on it as a way to play with a blythe while at work, and just kept adding options to her).
Feel free to print-screen your creations and share them here.
The Blythe-a-lizer requires a Flash Player 8 or higher and a resolution higher than 1024×768 for optimum enjoyment. Opera users having trouble?, try Firefox!
This is so gosh darn fantastic!
Thank you Puchi-people!
You’ve outdone yourself this time! ;D
This is the coolest web-toy EVER!!! ^__^
I love it!!! It’s a very cool and useful application
Wow!! This is way cooler than anything I have seen for quite a while. Fantastic idea
Amazing Melissa! I would kill for your clever technical skills. Very definitely the bestest, coolest thing to hit the Blythe world forever.
Very cool!
The best idea since.. I do not know!
Are you going to add more options like skin colors?
excellent!
i can stop playing with it now!
and very very helpful : D
oops i meant “can’t”
Wow, that’s a lot of fun! My next project was going to be a Blythe that you can interact with over the Internet, but now I don’t need to do that.
So you know Flash MX? Are you a web designer?
chantastic - yep, I work as a web developer during the day and I teach an intermediate Flash class at a multimedia school in the evenings.
My flash skills are pretty basic - I’m actually just starting to try to expand my ActionScript repertoire.
you should absolutely still make your interactive Blythe!
Melissa—
This is BRILLIANT!!! What a great tool for customizers/Blythers to utilize during the decision-making process. If not that, it’s a whole lot of fun to tinker with (like I’ve been doing for the past several minutes)
Martin will love this! Must remember to show him tonight.
Wow. I’m sure it’s a really useful customising tool, but more to the point I can pull a pull string even when I’m at work or visiting a client!
Fabulous! I’ve been playing with it & now have SO many new ideas!
I’m so vain, I think the sample girl above looks like me! HA!
melisser - no way, her lashes aren’t curled enough! i think she looks like magdalyn, but ya know, apples to apples…
How fantastic is this!!! Oh we Blythe fans are so lucky, lucky, lukcy to have you!! Thanks a million Puchicollective!!
I LOVE IT! There’s not much else to say! Again, like posted on livejournal… best PMS remedy EVER!
Woot! This is genius!
melissa you SO rock!
Innovative!!
Way Cool Melissa!!
Super Neato!!
Brilliant!!
fantastic! XD
i love it!! something we all can use. great stuff melissa
.
I love playing with it but there is one thing that bugs me. . . you can’t save it or send it as a pic. I found a great combo and I wanted to email it to the person customizing my doll for me and there doesn’t seem to be a way to do it.
It is fun to play with though.
hi loretta - I am working on an option that will export your final combo out as a PDF, but in the mean time, you can always hit the Print Screen Key (it’s usually right next to the F12 key) and paste it into your paint program for saving.
Loretta - If you’re on a Mac, hit “Shift-Apple-3″ to capture the whole screen, or “Shift-Apple-4″ to get a crosshair - then click & drag over the area you want to capture.
Melissa, great work and thanks so much for sharing. Have a great time clicking so many functions. Just curious to know the face mould of this model?
omg this is so cool! awesome idea! i have made about 5 different blythes with it now XD LOVE IT! =D
xxx
miffy - I drew the face in illustrator, but I was using a kenner as my guide.
How fun is this!! LOVE it!
how cool is this! thank you Melissa, very useful too!
I’m enjoying the Blythe-a-lizer! When I get tired of trying out eye shadow, lip and hair color I use the “pip” to drive others around me crazy XD It’s another great way to get Blythe into my life!
Oh this is soooo FUN!!! I’ll be playing with it for hours!! I know it has the purpose to test before customs, but I just like it anyway XP!! ^_^
This is so cool and useful.
A great idea! Just brilliant. Thanks!
WOW! I love it! I’m waiting for my first Blythe to arrive and have I got stuff planned for her now!
Imagine 35 years ago at Kenner when they said “She’s a dud, turn ‘er off”, they would never have imagined.
Melissa you rock!
I love it so much. You´re getting better and better in flash
